After the 10K

Sharie and I ran the 10 k at the Fall Classic at UBC on November 18th. We conquered another challenge! Half marathon training, here we come!

Mum's 86th birthday celebration

Today, Lori, Janice, Tricia and I took Mum out for lunch at the Chart House. We had a great time having an early celebration for her 86th birthday. A beautiful day with good company!

Play date with Elise

I asked Elizabeth if Elise could come out and play for a while yesterday. She was kind enough to say yes. You can see Elise reading her book and just generally looking cute!

Mother's Day

I had a great Mother's Day! Nisse and I met Mum at Richmond United to attend the church service together. Afterwards, we went out for lunch. While we were there, Jordan called. Hadn't heard his voice for quite awhile (although we've "talked" on MSN frequently), so that was wonderful. Later, Tom, Nisse, Richard, and I went to Justin's and Christine's for a delicious dinner. We were joined by Neil, Muriel and Elise (Liz's baby).

Christine's marathon

Christine has trained long and hard for the Vancouver Marathon on May 6th. Despite a knee injury, she finished the marathon in less than 5 hours. We're SO proud of her!

Spike's Christmas

It seems that the only photos we took on Christmas Day were of Spike. In a couple of the photos it's hard to see him amongst the wrapping paper. This kitty has a paper fetish!

Early Christmas

Jordan only had a bit of time to be home this time, and won't be spending Christmas with us. So, we had an early celebration with the family.

Christine got her BEd!

We're so proud of Christine! She finished her BEd in one year! Her convocation was on November 23, 2006. She started teaching in September and already has a temporary contract.

North American Black Belt Conference

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in Banff at the Black Belt Conference. Lots of great training! The best was the hugs from friends that I hadn't seen for awhile. Here's the Newton gang on Tunnel Mountain.
